CARNAL FORGE Cancel European Tour

May 23, 2004

Swedish thrashers CARNAL FORGE have been forced to cancel their previously announced European tour with MISERY INDEX. "Due to reasons beyond our control, bookings and preparations for the touring set-up have been screwed up, resulting in economic difficulty as well as an unsolvable schedule," the band write on their web site. "This has resulted in it being impossible for CARNAL FORGE to go ahead with the tour. There comes a time when you either continue or pull the plug and that time was now. We really tried to solve it, but alas. Apologies to everyone, even though this was beyond us."

As previously reported, CARNAL FORGE are scheduled to release a live DVD, entitled "Destroy Live", on June 14 through Century Media (June 28 in the U.S.) The disc contains 20 songs recorded the last weekend of January 2004 in Krakow, Poland and clips from "The 2003 Metal Gods Tour" in New York and "Extreme Bleeding Japan Tour 2003" in Tokyo.

CARNAL FORGE's new studio album, "Aren't You Dead Yet", is due on June 21 through Century Media in Europe and August in the U.S. 12 songs were recorded and mixed at Studio Underground for the follow-up to last year's "The More You Suffer", with the new material being described by guitarist Jari Kuusisto as "[picking] up from where the last album stopped. The new songs are a little bit more aggressive, but all of you that liked our previous albums won't get disappointed."

CARNAL FORGE have scheduled a record-release party for "Aren't You Dead Yet" on May 29 at Rockland in Sala, Sweden. Special guests at the show will be GRAVE and CONSTRUCDEAD.
